VTV Channel 6 is expanding their high school sports coverage this year with plans to broadcast every home football game for local high schools. Uintah Basin football fans will be able to catch HD coverage of a total of 19 football games this fall, more than doubling the amount of broadcasted games last year.

Each week will consist of a “Game of the Week” which will be aired live on VTV channels 6 & 706 in addition to online at vtvchannel6.com. Additional games played during the same week will be available to watch online only. For a coverage schedule announcing Games of the Week, visit VTV’s website.

Game coverage kicked off last Friday with Duchesne & Altamont High Schools competing against Milford and American Leadership Academy. Broadcasts will continue this Friday with Uintah’s game against Pine View. In addition to live broadcasts, future viewing will also be available through web archives and DVD purchase.

"This new school year brings expanded coverage for all high school football fans in our area,” said Dale Allred, Head of Video Operations at VTV. “We are really excited to be able to offer our viewers the chance to watch their children, friends, and neighbors on both television and on mobile devices from almost anywhere.”

VTV’s sports coverage will also feature Girls & Boys Basketball this winter, and Boys Soccer in the spring.

Coverage is made possible through the support of key community businesses; Ashley Regional Medical Center, L & L Motor Company, Moon Lake Electric, Pilot Thomas Logistics, and STRATA Networks.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for local businesses. If interested, please contact Dale Allred at 435-622-5482, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
